Minor in Improvisation from Autumn 2020!

In the fall semester 2020, Hochschule Luzern – Musik starts offering a new Minor in Improvisation and continues to build on the long standing specialization in this area, offering students from both the classical and jazz profiles diverse possibilities to further knowledge, experiment and experience. Individual lessons in improvisation will be part of the Minor, and we will start the new and exciting module Reflective Listening Studies. We also debut Joint-Modules with our European partner institutions in the area of improvisation, starting with the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.
The Lucerne faculty in improvisation includes prolific musicians such as Christian Weber, Charlotte Hug, Hans-Peter Pfammatter, Gerry Hemingway, Marc Unternährer, Jan Schlegel and Thomas Mejer. The minor continues to develop the expertise that has been built by a strong network of professors and alumni in Lucerne.
